Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary
DAY 1: Dehradun to Sankri | Drive Distance: 187 kms | Duration: 6-7 hours | Elevation: 1950m
1. Arrive at Dehradun and start your journey towards Sankri village.
2. Drive along Yamuna and Tons river, with pine forests surrounding your way and
3. Enjoy the beauty of nature at its best.
4. After the breezy ride reach Sankri and check-in to the comfortable campsite.
5. Enjoy a lip-smacking dinner at the campsite.
6. Overnight stay at Sankri.
DAY 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab | Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 3 – 4 hours
1. After breakfast, you will set out on the hike from Saur Village and start climbing up
2. Along the way, we will cross several high-altitude suspension bridges and small villages
3. Reach the lake called Juda Ka Talab, where Lord Shiva had opened a small lock of his hair and water dripped from his hair forming this huge lake.
4. Step out of your camps and witness the starlit sky bedside the frozen lake
5. Overnight stay at Juda Ka Talab.
DAY 3: Juda Ka Talab to Base Camp | Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 4 – 5 hours
1. Enjoy breakfast at Juda Ka Talab, and head towards Kedarkantha base
2. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the snow-lined path and patches of green that surrounds your way
3. In case the weather is harsh, comfort yourself at the safe and equipped Gujjar huts
4. The imposing view of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks of Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Ranglana will knock the breath straight out of you
5. Upon reaching the campsite, mark the end of the day with a wonderful dinner and retire to the tents for the night
6. Overnight stay at the Kedarkantha base
DAY 4: Base Camp to Kedarkantha Summit | Trek Distance: 6 km | Duration: 6 – 7 hours
1. Post Breakfast get ready for the ultimate adventure
2. Start early at around 2 am in the morning and it will take anywhere between 7 to 8 hours to get to the summit
3. You will get to feel the welcoming and filtered sunrays from the mountains of the Yamunotri and Gangotri range and also of Kinner Kailash ranges.
4. On reaching the summit, your jaw is going to drop and your eyes will not blink as you see the sun rising from the summit
5. After spending some time at the summit and will start descending and walk all the way down to base camp
6. Reach the Juda Ka Talab and end the day with a delicious dinner
DAY 5: Base Camp to Sankri | Trek Distance: 6 kms | Duration: 4 – 5 hours
1. Enjoy the delicious breakfast at the base camp
2. As you descend to Sankri village, get ready to listen to some interesting

4. Get Back to Dehradun by 8PM.

Kullu is a cluster of beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh. It is located between Himalayas and Beas River. Kullu is situated at an altitude of 1230 meters. HOW TO REACH KULLU

ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – EXPLORATION OF KULLU’S HISTORICAL SITES AND ADVENTURE SPORTS
First day starts with the breakfast and to explore historical sites of Kullu.
- BIJLI MAHADEV MANDIR
It is situated in Kullu and very beautiful place for camping. It is famous for the lighting thunder which falls on the shillings situated on the top of the mountain. As the temperature remains cool but the ghee or butter never melts. - RAGHUNATH TEMPLE
The next destination is Raghunath temple. The main deity of Kullu valley is Lord Raghunath. From centuries, various festivals used to get celebrated here by the Royal family of Kullu. Dussehra celebration here has no exception. The idol of Raghunath ji is installed in this temple is believed to safeguard the valley from any kind of evil. Dussehra festival is celebrated here for 10 days and tourists from all the places come to celebrate it. This temple is built in the year1651 by the king of kullu valley, Raja Jagat Singh. Temple is constructed with white marble. White pillars of the temple have been beautifully carved. - VAISHNO DEVI TEMPLE OF KULLU
Vaishno Devi temple of Kullu is situated on the banks of the river Beas. This temple was built on the year1966.It is located at a distance of 2km from the town of Kullu. This temple is ideal of giving the dose of spirituality to their devotees.
DAY 2 – After day first night stay second day starts with exploring Manali’s Hadimba temple. It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi who was wife of Bhima. The temple was built over a huge rock in 1533 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh. It is among the most prominent temples in Manali that attracts tourists. Day ends with the dinner and camping.
DAY 3 – EXPLORATION OF SOLANG VALLEY AND ROHTANG PASS
After having breakfast journey starts to SOLANG VALLEY. It’s abside valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. This valley is on the way to Rohtang Pass. The Solang Valley is known for its greenery and ski resort This village has many shops. The resort is also known for its world class ski school many adventure activities. The climate here is very cold during winters and moderate chilly during summers. The sports mist commonly offered here are paragliding, skating and zorbing.
ROHTANG PASS
It is one of the spectacular destinations in entire valley. This Pass is located are 51blms away from Manali at a height of 3980 meters on Manali Keylong Highway. The Rohtang Pass is open for tourists from April to October. The permission to visit this place is given by Indian Army once the snow is cleared. This mountain is very beautiful to attracts tourists from all over the world. Thus, road connects to Leh Ladakh from Manali. It spots more than 25 lakh visitors every year. - RIVER RAFTING
For those who want to play with the waves of water, river rafting in Manali is a must. Before starting, the rafters are given tips for rafting. It can be difficult too, depending upon the weather conditions. Best time to try rafting is in summers from Pirdi to Jhidi. It cost starts from INR 2500 per couple. - PARAGLIDING
Best time to try this is April to December. It is a dream to do paragliding in Solang Valley. It’s cost is INR 600-1800.While doing paragliding, one should wear comfortable clothes. - SKIING

It has opportunities for various adventure activities like trekking, camping, rafting. There are many restaurants and cafeteria for refreshment. Famous restaurants there are Panj Tara Bar and Grill, Cafe Evergreen, Little Italy, King Falafel. You can try kidney beans, pulses and rice which are prepared in yogurt with mash dal boor ki Kari and chutney made from tamarind and jaggery. So, pack your bags to enjoy the places of kasol to visit.
BEST TIME TO VISIT KULLU
From March to June is the best time to visit kullu. Winters are also great time to visit there because of the celebrations around Raghunath temple. If you want to experience adventure activities, then winters are the best.
BEST TIME TO VISIT MANALI
October to June is the best time to visit Manali because of the pleasant climate with temperature ranging between 10 and 25 degrees. December to February is best time to visit Manali if you want to experience snowfall and adventurous activities. Monsoon season is bit low due to frequent landslides.
BEST TIME TO VISIT KASOL
Best time to visit Kasol is March to June. The weather is quite pleasant and make it easier for the Travellers to enjoy their journey The monsoon season is from July to September with the temperature ranges from 13 to 35 degrees. The months of October to February experience cold with temperature going below -4 degree.
